Beatz DJ Studios Limited - Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Beatz DJ Studios Limited ("Beatz DJ Studios", "we", "us", "our") and our services, including studio hire, DJ coaching, and content creation at Unit A, Harts Yard, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7GZ.

By booking a studio or using our services, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms.

2. Studio Services

We provide a high-end DJ studio space for individuals to learn, develop, and create. Our services include:

Studio hire for DJ practice and content creation
One-to-one DJ coaching and training
Equipment for professional DJing and recording

3. Booking and Payment

3.1 Reservations

Bookings must be made in advance via our website or email (sessions@beatzdjstudio.co.uk).
You must be 18 or over to book a session.
Valid photo identification (passport, driving licence, or government-issued ID) must be presented on arrival for verification.
Sessions are time-limited and must be vacated promptly at the end of the booking period.
You may not exceed the maximum number of attendees per booking (specified on our website).

3.2 Payment

Payment is required at the time of booking via credit/debit card or bank transfer.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings if payment is not received.

3.3 Cancellations and Refunds

No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 5 days before the session.
Cancellations made 5 days or more before the session will receive a full refund.
If we need to cancel your session, you will be offered a rescheduled slot or a full refund.

3.4 Late Arrivals

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your booking may be forfeited without refund.
We are not obligated to extend your session time if you arrive late.

4. Studio Use Rules

4.1 General Conduct

Be respectful of the space, staff, and other users.
Keep noise levels reasonable to avoid disruption to others.
No food, drink, smoking, or vaping inside the studio.
Users must adhere to Beatz DJ Studios' Health and Safety Policy at all times.

4.2 Equipment and Damage

You are responsible for any damage to studio equipment during your session.
Do not tamper with or modify any studio equipment.
Report any technical issues or damages immediately to our staff.
You agree to cover the cost of repairs or replacements for any damage caused by misuse.

4.3 Security and Access

Do not allow unauthorised persons to enter the studio.
You must vacate the studio on time; additional charges apply for overtime use.
Beatz DJ Studios is not responsible for personal belongings left unattended in the studio.

4.4 Prohibited Items and Activities

No illegal substances, weapons, or hazardous materials are allowed in the studio.
No parties, unauthorised gatherings, or excessive noise that may disturb other businesses in the vicinity.
No recording of copyrighted material without appropriate permissions.
No tampering with security or safety equipment, including fire alarms and CCTV.
No alcohol is permitted on the premises.

5. Liability and Indemnity

We are not responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.
You agree to indemnify us against any damage, loss, liability, legal claims, or expenses resulting from:
- Any violation of these Terms.
- Any unlawful activity conducted in the studio.
- Any third-party claims related to your session, including unauthorised recordings or music rights disputes.
We are not liable for technical issues beyond our control, such as power outages or internet disruptions.
Users agree to use studio equipment responsibly and acknowledge that misuse could result in additional charges or bans from future bookings.

6. Limitation of Liability

We do not accept liability for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, revenue, business, or data.
- Loss or corruption of digital recordings or media.
- Third-party service failures (e.g., WeTransfer, payment providers).
Our total liability, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall not exceed the total booking fee paid by the user.
Nothing in these Terms shall limit liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under UK law.

7. Intellectual Property

Any recordings, mixes, or content created in Beatz DJ Studios remain the intellectual property of the user.
Beatz DJ Studios reserves the right to use promotional content or images from sessions only with prior consent.
Users must obtain necessary rights for any third-party music or content recorded in the studio.

8. Force Majeure

We are not liable for cancellations, delays, or disruptions due to events beyond our control, including:
- Extreme weather
- Power failures or internet disruptions
- National emergencies
- Government-imposed restrictions
If an event prevents us from providing services for more than 14 days, affected users will be offered a rescheduled session or refund.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be governed by English law and resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
We encourage users to contact us first at sessions@beatzdjstudio.co.uk to resolve any issues informally before pursuing legal action.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the latest Terms.

SCHEDULE A – EXTRA FEES AND CHARGES

1.1 These extra fees and charges apply in cases of breaches of clause 4 (Studio Use Rules) and are enforceable without financial limitation. These charges apply in addition to any indemnity obligations in clause 5.

1.2 Multiple charges may be applied concurrently where applicable.

1.3 Extra fees and charges include, but are not limited to, the following:

£50 for vaping anywhere inside the studio or communal areas.
£100 for smoking inside the studio or communal areas.
£150 minimum for activation of the fire alarm due to smoking, vaping, or use of smoke machines. If we incur a fine due to a false alarm triggered by your actions, you will be liable for the full amount.
Up to £300 for excessive mess left in the studio, including spills, food waste, or rubbish not disposed of properly.
£75 per extra person per hour for exceeding the studio capacity limit.
£100 minimum for damage to equipment caused by misuse or improper handling, with full repair/replacement costs charged in addition.
£250 minimum for tampering with, damaging, or covering CCTV cameras.
£500 minimum for tampering with, damaging, or covering fire alarms or fire safety equipment.
£150 for improper use of fire exits or triggering fire exit alarms without cause.
£50 per incident for propping or wedging open a studio door while music is playing.
£100 per incident for forcing open an entrance door or leaving it insecure. You will be held liable for any damages or losses resulting from unauthorised access.
Full repair/replacement costs for damage to studio fixtures, walls, floors, or any structural elements.
£100 minimum charge if security personnel or police must be called due to refusal to leave the premises. Additional charges may apply if the situation escalates.
Full hourly rate if you remain in the studio more than 15 minutes past your booked session time, charged per additional hour.

SCHEDULE B – RECORDINGS, LIVE STREAMING, AND MEDIA

1. Recording and File Sharing

1.1 Your session may be recorded using our in-studio camera and audio recording equipment.
1.2 WeTransfer (or a similar file-sharing service) will be used to send your recording to the email provided at the time of booking.
1.3 Recordings will be stored securely for 10 days. You must download and store your files within this period; after that, they will be permanently deleted.
1.4 We are not responsible for:

The quality or content of the recording.
Technical failures or recording malfunctions.
Issues with file transfer or inability to access/download files.

2. Live Streaming and Content Sharing

2.1 Any live-streamed or recorded content must be original or you must have permission to use it.
2.2 You must not:

Share content that reveals private personal information about others.
Broadcast content that is offensive, discriminatory, or illegal.
Use the studio to create content that violates copyright laws.
2.3 Beatz DJ Studios reserves the right to delete recordings without notice if necessary, for legal or policy reasons.

SCHEDULE C – HOUSE RULES

By using Beatz DJ Studios, you agree to abide by the following rules:

You are responsible for your session – This includes equipment, studio cleanliness, and the behaviour of your guests.
No smoking, vaping, or illegal substances – Breaching this will result in additional fees as listed in Schedule A.
No alcohol is allowed on the premises – Anyone found consuming alcohol in the studio will be asked to leave immediately, and no refunds will be given.
Respect our equipment – Use all studio equipment properly and report any issues immediately.
Do not tamper with security or fire equipment – This includes CCTV cameras, fire alarms, and fire exits.
Keep noise at a reasonable level – Ensure that doors remain closed while music is playing.
Clean up after yourself – Dispose of all rubbish in the bins provided. Excess mess will result in additional charges.
Exit on time – You must leave the studio by the end of your session to avoid additional charges.
Be respectful to staff and other users – Any form of aggression, rudeness, or disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the premises and a permanent ban.
